Wilmar International: Mainboard-listed Wilmar Inter-national reported a 5.6-per-cent rise in first quarter net profit to US$401.4 million on-year ($553.9 million).
Revenue for the three months to March increased 36 per cent to US$6.8 billion.
This was due to robust growth in overall sales volume as a result of stronger demand and higher average selling prices.
But Wilmar also saw higher expenditure. Its selling and distribution expenses rose 26.7 per cent to US$263.9 million on the back of higher freight and transportation costs.
