All the visitors to Google Web site must have noticed the new Google logo representing Vancouver 2010 Olympics, starting from February 12, 2010. The new logo is a drawing appearing upfront featuring opening ceremony. Officially the Vancouver 2010 games are XXI Olympics Winter Games and the event will last up to February 28, 2010.
The Winter Olympic Games are going to start simultaneously in Canada, British Columbia and Vancouver whereas some of events of this multi-sport major international activity will also be taking place in Whistler resort town and Richmond, the suburban area of Vancouver.
According to an official announcement made today, that carrying the British flag at the opening ceremony of the 2010 Vancouver would be none other than Shelly Rudman, the skeleton competitor at the BC Place Stadium. Remember Shelly Rudman? She's the one that claimed a silver medal exactly four years ago while in Turin games.
This time her aims for Shelly are high and she wishes to bring gold for her country since she's again appearing for the same skeleton competition at Whistler. Feeling highly motivated Shelly stated she feels greatly honored to have been chosen as her team's representative as well as on behalf of the whole country.
Shelly Rudman further stated "I feel proud to lead a group here into the stadium that comprises of wonderful and great athletes." Vancouver Organizing Committee is organizing both the great events of Paralympics and Olympic games. It would be for the third time Canada would be hosting the Olympics whereas British Columbia is getting the honor for the first time ever.
